LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30 1984) was an American professional player of basketball playing for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The nickname is King James he is widely considered to be among the top basketball players ever and has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over who is the greatest basketball player. James has won four NBA Championships and the four NBA MVP Awards Four NBA Finals MVP Awards and three All-Star MVP Awards. He is also the proud owner of 2 Olympic Gold medals. James is the player with the highest points during the playoffs, the second most career points and is the seventh player with the most career assists. He was named to be an NBA All-Star 18 times to the All-NBA Team a record 18 times. He was also selected for the NBA All-Defensive First Team five times. He's played in 10 NBA Finals the third most of all time, with eight games in succession between 2011, and 2018. James was selected for an appearance on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. He was the first NBA player to score 10,000 points in his career. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, in Akron Ohio. He received a lot of attention from the media about his future NBA stardom. As a pro-prep player, he was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall selection in the 2003 NBA draft. The 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year the player quickly became one of the NBA's top players, winning an NBA MVP award in 2009 and 2010. James did not win a title in Cleveland, so he went on to leave the city to become an "free agent" in the year 2010. This was revealed in the TV show The Decision.
