Anya Devi Volz began performing as a child, in a community-based age. She continued with the arts through her teens. Anya Josephine Marie Taylor Joy was an actor for a long time. She's the winner of many awards, among them the Golden Globe Award and Screen Actors Guild Award. In addition, she has been nominated for both a BAFTA Film Award as well as the Primetime Emmy Award. Taylor Joy left school aged 16 in pursuit of a career in acting. Anya Taylor Joy is a 16 year old American actress, who was born in Miami Florida. Her mother is English, one-half Spanish. Her parents were Dennis Alan Taylor an ex-banker and Jennifer Marina Joy psychologist. The father of her is Argentine and Scottish English descent. Her mother's heritage is Spanish and English. Taylor-Joy has four siblings from her father's prior marriage. The family was initially located in Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of aged six. According to Taylor-Joy, the move was traumatic and she refused to learn English in the hopes of moving back to Argentina. Hill House became her school that she chose after being forced to change schools. Later she attended Queen's Gate School, where she learned dance and participated in shows. After 16 she decided to leave school to focus fully on acting. The dream of Taylor-Joy to become a professional actress started at a young age.
