Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America, is an actress as well as a performer. Bell was raised in Huntington Woods, Michigan, and is the daughter of Lorelei (Frygier), a nurse, and Tom Bell, a television news director. Her mother is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen realized her potential in the entertainment industry at a young age. Her audition was in 1992, and was then offered the role of Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 when her mother signed up for an agent, was also auditioned for advertisements for newspapers and television. At this time she began taking classes in acting. Bell had a role that was not credited in Polish Wedding (1998), a film released in 1998. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School and was in the band and drama clubs. When her school staged a stage production The Wizard of Oz, Bell won the role of Dorothy. Bell went to New York City for the Tisch School of the Arts to study musical theater after the completion of her studies. Bell left the university in 2001, and began taking on the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, Bell was the first to make her credit debut with the role of Becky Pootie Tang. However the scene she played was removed out of the movie and her appearance was only on the screen credits. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in the Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
